Hartlepool United will be without Richie Barker (suspended) and Willie Boland (hamstring). Despite missing two important players Hartlepool United manager Danny Wilson insists that Pools can get a result against Swindon Town. Hartlepool goes into tomorrow’s showdown at the County Ground just five points behind the second-placed Robins and within one point of a Coca-Cola League Two automatic promotion place.

“It is a blow to lose Richie but we have to get on with it,” Wilson said. “He came to the club on three bookings and the type of character he is, he was always likely to pick up bookings on the odd occasion. He gets plenty dished out to him but he can give it as well as take it. We can’t really moan about it, at this time in the season these things happen. Willie has done a bit of running this week but he still has a bit more to go yet. It is not easy for him because he wants to play, but he might be in contention for next week.”
Wilson feels that whoever he selects to replace the missing pair will be eager to do well saying that everyone within the squad wants a game. Wilson said: “Everybody is champing at the bit to play and it might not be a bad thing for them. The lads coming in have a chance to show what they are capable of doing. Nobody is guaranteed a place in the team and if someone comes in and does exceptionally well, then it makes it hard to change it. It is difficult for us at the moment but we have got quite a few options.”
